Introduction: 

You are a travel agent from the distant future where time travel has come into everyday use allowing ordinary citizens to virtually visit the past. Visitors will be unable to change the past or damage the future since they can only observe and are invisable to their surroundings. As visiting the past is becoming a budding vacation industry it is your job to create an attractive advertisement to lure in possible clients to visit the past. You have been placed in charge of advertising for the Ancient World.

The Task:

Create a travel brochure website for an ancient civilization (Greece, Rome, China, India, Egypt or Babylon) that addresses the following attributes.

1. Geography - What does the place look like physically?

2. Technology - What technology was available?

3. Customs and Traditions - What did the people like to do for recreation?

4. Language and Writing - How did they communicate

5. Art and Architecture - What did they build and create as art?

6. Religion - How did they practice their religion?

7. Government - What kind of government did they have?

8. Economy - What did people do for work and what was traded?

The Process:
  1. Choose an ancient civilization above
  2. Research and outline your civlization by looking at: Geography, Technlogy, Customs, Language/Writing, Art/Architecture, Religion, Government, Economy
  3. Create your travel brochure website using the power point template
  4. Present your travel brochure power point to the class
