How do People Make the History Books?

Task:

Prepare an original research paper on a significant person from Global History. A list of approved topics is below. The typed paper will be 4-6 pages (double spaced lines) in length. It must include 2 or more cited works from books. Internet resources are acceptable only after two books have been utilized. It will be based on the MLA documentation for which instruction will be provided. Keep in mind the central question, "Why did this person make it into the history books?" What were their beliefs, accomplishments and how did they impact the course of history?

You are not limited to these suggestions, but you must clear your topic with me. You may not use any people from the United States.
